This week is my favourite week because it allows me to reflect and catch up on my projects. The UX Research module has been very intense and challenging. I chose an exciting research concept that has kept me motivated, and I have enjoyed every week so far.
My focus is refining my project proposal and gathering my users for the case study. One of my improvements for the research was to use more participants for the case study. I originally had three participants, which would not have provided sufficient feedback and analysis for my research. It has been difficult to recruit participants who would like to get involved, and I have asked family, friends, and peers. I managed to recruit 6 participants, which is an improvement.
I will also be reading books that I have bought, such as “The Design of Everyday Things”. I have also purchased the book “Don’t make me think”, which was highly recommended by other students and tutors. I am looking forward to starting my research methods and comparing the data. I will also be doing additional research related to the ethics of apps. My concern for my studies is having enough time to do everything I need to. Balancing work and studies is not easy, but I have tried to split my time every day.
Below I have created a research schedule to organise my tasks for this module.
