Online Figma tutorials supported the development and interaction of the prototype. The design and layout of the new features were designed to be consistent with the SC brand, such as colour palette, fonts and graphics, to create brand awareness and trust. Research in material design and health apps such as Aurahealth inspired the creation of elements in the prototype (‘Signup’ 2022). Jakob Nielsen's interaction design principles were applied to create a better user experience and limit errors, such as visibility of system status, user control and freedom and error prevention (Nielsen 2020).
